Echo Lake Day Habilitation is locally owned and operated, with a skilled management team. Our staff is committed to our participants. We consider them part of our family, and we go above and beyond our job descriptions to serve our participants and their caregivers.

Dr. Juan Grana

President and Executive Director

Juan received a BS degree major in Pre-Med Chemistry from Seton Hall University and his Doctor Of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College in 1984. Juan spent twenty years running a Chiropractic Practice in Elizabeth, NJ, specializing in low back conditions and Geriatrics. He started Work-Safe Enterprises in 2000 to help corporations prevent employee injuries and has worked with several Fortune 100 corporations.

Juan started SarahCare in 2008, in North Plainfield NJ to care for seniors with memory loss and adults with developmental disabilities.

In 2015, Juan took SarahCare’s already extensive participant Care plan and significantly enhanced it into their current Day habilitation plan, to care for developmentally disabled adults, under DDD’s new program.

As the executive director, Juan is responsible for the day-to-day operation of our center, supervising staff and overseeing all marketing, data collection and record keeping activities.

Management Team

Denise Daley

Director of Nursing

Denise has been our Director of Nursing since 2018. She oversees all of the healthcare aspects of our center including dispensing medication, monitoring medical conditions and coordinating all our participant’s care with their primary care physicians.

Kimmie Barfield

Social Services

Kimmie is in charge of all social services at Echo Lake Day Hab. She assists all our participants with any community service they may need.

Erin Pender-Whorley

Activity Director

Erin is in charge of keeping our participants busy and entertained. She does an activity assessment with each participant once they start and works with the Outcomes desired in the participants ISP, to ensure the best quality of life possible for each individual.

Jennifer Grana

Teacher/Administrative Assistant

Jennifer, a licensed teacher in NJ teaches classes daily to all our participants, regardless of cognitive level. Her philosophy is that each person can learn something to make their life better. She works to teach them life skills all participants can use outside of Echo Lake Day Hab.

Eva Jean Wysinski

Dining Room Supervisor

Jeannie is in charge of making sure all our participants receive a healthy well balanced meal while at SarahCare. She works with our Dietary consultant and nurse to ensure each person is receiving the correct diet.
